A new trailer arrives for Mia Hansen-Løve’s Eden. The flick follows the story of Paul, a fictional DJ living and loving during the France’s ’90s house craze. The premise seems interesting enough. However, the film makes waves for its portrayals of legendary house pioneers Daft Punk.
Director Mia and her brother/co-writer Sven Hansen-Løve based the film off their own experiences during the French touch era. Thanks to Sven’s lasting connections, Daft Punk officially endorsed the film, lending three songs to its soundtrack.
Thomas and Guy-Man appear sans robot suits and their cameos electrify the trailer. Even flesh and blood DP clearly look like the coolest guys in the room.
The drama premiered at the Toronto film fest last fall and made the rounds since then. This new preview coincided with Eden‘s showing at the Sundance film festival in Utah.
There’s no word yet on a wider release but here’s to hoping Eden eventually hits theaters.
